give a detailed rationale behind each of your choices

It seems unlikely that this deeply unsatisfactory situation will be resolved by a new attempt to answer the old question; instead, as has been suggested by some of the most thoughtful students, we should expect to find that some part of the conceptual landscape in which this problematic entity resides must be reconstructed before it will come into focus.

LOOK INTO THESE EYES
YOU SEE THAT THEY ARE GOOGLY!!!
Big bird's in his nest
Oscar's in his can
Ernie is a guy who lives with another man
HEY! Kermit's on the scene
you know it ain't easy bein green!
But I did it all for the cookie

Oscar = Snape because they are both mean
Megatron could be Dumbledore because they both wear purple, or one of the science teachers at my college could be him because he dresses up as a wizard sometimes (seriously, I think he may be nuts)
Bert and Ernie could be Harry and Draco, and if you understand the joke then welcome to my hell
Grover could be Ron because people who like them have a hard time explaining why
Big Bird could also be Harry because they both have big adventures, and there's a second parallel because Big Bird has the mind of a four year old and Harry collects the brains of four year olds
The Cookie Monster and Neville Longbottom are played by the same actor, that's a perfect fit right there
Miss Piggy would be Professor Umbridge because they are both widely detested by the centaurs
Kelsey Grammer would be Sideshow Bob
And Grover could be Sirius Black because in a way they both look like taller, more awkward versions of Elmo and they both secretly detest the little brat because they were there first, and because deep down they know the children love Elmo more
And Snuffleupagus (sp?) would be played by The Penguin from Superman
Actually upon further though only the Snape = Oscar one would work, but you have to admit that Megatron showing up in a Harry Potter movie in any manner would be hilarious.

Reason and logic had led people into the horrors of war; the only route to salvation was to reject logic and embrace anarchy and the irrational.
