Between Heaven and Hell by Madguy

If you want to act like He-Man, grab a sword and stand on the peak of one the mountains in Valua then stick your sword into the sky screaming "I HAVE THE POWER!!".Then get struck by lightning just like He-Man.

I didn't make it--it's by Madguy (Matt Dabrowski). I think he used AGAST.

Why is a simple platformer 150mb? Cave Story was less than a meg.

The graphics probably take up more space, being of a higher resolution and being true color rather than having a 256 color pallete. I think there's voice acting, also.

I think it's the source engine itself.

Like how Game Maker rapes your memory because it loads EVERYTHING right at the start instead of when it's needed.

AGS made Aftershocked like 60mb and that's a basic adventure game with midi music and probably jpg backgrounds.

Also DH&H is glitchy for me. Probably because it hates Win2000 already so no matter what I do sound doesn't sync, but then parts fuck up and I had to ask him for the password to the next section so I could proceed and I should get around to doing that.

Note: This is optional in Game Maker.

I'm also on Windows 2000, and I was unable to play Aftershocked, but this one worked fine for me. That said, I had to get my password, quit, and then restart the game every so often because of slowdown. Apparently, nothing ever leaves memory. I got through the whole game with no other real technical issues, though.
