How, in 1969, could anyone have faked extensive video footage of a 1/6th gravity, airless environment?
When you watch clips of the moon rover, the dust thrown up by the wheels travels in a perfect parabolic arc. The only way to fake that is by putting the set in a huge vacuum chamber, or using modern CGI.
