ZZT-OOP Programming Reference (and manual)

Post by xolotl »

Hello all -

I rediscovered the joys of ZZT a week or two ago and wanted to print out the ZZT-OOP reference file, when I discovered that it was quite hard to come by in HTML form. In fact, the only version I've found thus far had been available at archive.org, which was kind of suboptimal. (Here's where you'll probably mention the countless places where I just totally missed it.)

So anyway, I took what I could from archive.org, gave it a once-over to fix some problems, clean up the HTML, make it a bit prettier, and now I've got the whole manual available at http://apocalyptech.com/linux/zzt/manual/ (I was originally just going to put up the ZZT-OOP Reference bit, but I figured I may as well just do the whole thing if I was going to the effort of doing part of it.)

Hopefully that'll be useful to somebody else too. Enjoy!

Hey, nice, now there's proper HTML formatting!

I'm not exactly sure what happened with rocketjump.org, but something was sold, there was supposed to be a move to another server... All I know is it isn't there anymore. I don't know if Dave2 put it up somewhere else or what.

Anyway, it's nice to have a copy of it online. Welcome to z2, xolotl!

Howdy, thanks. I'm just having a great time with this game. It's been a real long time since I played it, probably around the time it was originally released. I hadn't even remembered it existed until I saw it mentioned somewhere.
