Two things

Post by TTTPPP »

First thing:
I tried to download Vio's game but I got the message "The requested URL /zgames/9/9elation.zip was not found on this server."

Second thing:
I tried to play Fred2, but it crashes on loading (posibly the file is too large?) Is there a program I can run it with?

fred! 2 is too goddamn big. most people can't run it.

back when i wanted to play it, my laptop could only run it in the editor, so i took the "alternate ending" segment (which is pretty much a totally different game anyway) and put it into a seperate file, which reduced the size of the main portion of the game to about 310kb from 392kb. i may still have it, actually! hang on

(pause)

fuck, no i don't. sry
he looked upon the world and saw it was still depraved :fvkk:

For whatever reason, it seems ZZT doesn't mind large games when it's the only one. Make a seperate folder for it with a new copy of zzt.
Visit the Museum of ZZT
Follow Worlds of ZZT on Twitter

Apologies for the old post you may have just read.

yeah. There's a lot of useless stuff ZZT loads into memory, including a list of all the games in the directory. you'll save a couple k by moving it into its owm folder. In addition, zzt sux.
