To port games to ZZT?

In your adventures through the Town of ZZT, you have been captured by the evil Dungeon Guards. Not recognizing you as the great escape artist you are, the guards have thrown you in the Dungeons of ZZT.

Good topic, but the name needed a change. For obvious reasons.

I vote no. While some games could turn out considerably well ported to ZZT (I quote the Dizzy games as a good example), in general I feel originality is better.

I'm the one who voted yes. However only those that would require skill to make. ZZTris is an example along with the Dizzy games. While most games aren't even a good conversion they are still fun (Mario games and Yoshi games) to play.

Yes, so long as people don't make crappy versions that ruins the chance for the rest of us to make those sorts of games.

Yeah. I was working on a RockMan ZZT game a few years ago, but I saw that somebody already made a Mega Man game and it discouraged me.

There's a Warcraft ZZT which is, needless to say, very confusing.

I feel that as long as the game is a good port, it should be made.I know my zelda games suck, so shut up.

If you acctually make an effort, and choose a game or idea that can fit into zzt, I'd say go for it. I've seen a couple Zelda games that acctually work out pretty good. But I've also seen a few games where it's like, "UR SONIC TEH HEADGEHOGG GO GET THE GEMS AND AMMO AND KILL TEH TIGRESZZ!!!11"

If I recall those sonic games were joke games.
As you said about Zelda, I assume you mean Link's Adventure, a very fun, but inaccurate Zelda game.

I'm looking forward to Wayne's Adventure, especially if it includes an old man who gives clues in incoherent Engrish and a drawling merchant named Nevada Bob!

I say, definetly YES on porting games to zzt. True, there have been games made in the past that kind of sucked, but then again, there once was a time when STK was not in standard use.

Right now I'm working on Starcraft for ZZT, but I have no Idea when it will be finished.

It could be extremely cool if someone made Half-life for zzt. What say, all? Anyone up for the challenge?
