The first one we had back when the channel first opened in September 2003 was, in my opinion, one of the greatest IRC moments ever.

All slots are full, no more contestants or judges will be accepted. However, if a judge or contestant doesn't show and you happen to be in #rawr at the time, you can certainly volunteer for either position.

The tournament will be a single elimination bracket of all 8 contestants. They will either be paired off at random, or I might actually use some kind of seeding system. The channel will be moderated (only ops and voiced people can talk), so when it's your turn, you will be voiced. You have a maximum of two minutes. Judges will vote after both people have gone. The finals may be spiced up a bit.

#rawr rap battle - Wednesday, May 26th - 9 PM EST

Spectators are welcome and encouraged. If you don't know how to use IRC, or get on #rawr, There's an IRC guide in the help/faqs section on the main page of z2.

Yeah, we had a bunch, but the first one was the largest and most special.

I remember that I phunk and I created #oldskoolfreestylin shortly after that, which is where the idea for Z-Unit was generated. It only lasted about a month, but good times were had by all.
