New guy's got a question

Post by 637 »

:out:

Hey, I'm new here. My name's Flash1087 and I've been making ZZT games for a few years, but have yet to make a good one. Anyway, I have a question about clones. Do they make their own games, or can you make/edit ZZT boards with them? There's a few ZZT clones with functions/extras I'd like to try, but I'd rather stick to ZZT programming if at all possible.

Thanks in advance.

(and yes, I only picked that emoticon because I loved I Feel Sick.)

Well to be honest, a zzt clone wouldn't be backwards compatible with new features. If you're talking about a ZZT EDITOR such as ZZTAE or Kevedit then uhh...

ok.

ZIG was pretty goddamn similar to ZZT, but it's dead and fail and nobody would play your game ever. Either go learn robotic with Megazeux or work around the limits with ZZT. :fsfunky:
