Well, i'm releasing it thanks to nonde trying to steal my ideas, so dont blame it being rough and the like

You could probably make the grid larger by combining the two grids into one:
blue fake: is dead
white solid: is alive
blue solid: is alive but will be dead next time
white fake: is dead but will be alive next time

But I haven't really though it through, so it might be a real pain to program it that way.

yeah, i dont check for colors so not a good idea. i attempted to do that in perl and failed.
