I've improved the texture of the houses as well as make a distinction between the group of two on the left. The overall progress of the game is coming at a somewhat steady rate, around one board per day, though I hope to increase that amount. I might get done this game by Summer (maybe sooner) if I continue at this pace.
And on another note, I was clearing out my old PC before installing Windows 98 and found an old ZZT game I started to make some time ago called "Catacombs". I haven't really looked at it yet, but may decide to finish it and upload it.

Yeah, I'd recommend to use ZBitmap to help make realistic shapes and shading in ZZT from normal images. Though I don't really like how the colors turn out from some images, so would recommend using those as a guide if you feel that way.
And I do use a lot of vomit shading when a different kind would be better. =(
