ZZT Games - Missing in Action

Post by MadTom »

Did you suddenly remember an old ZZT game you used to love while in a drunken stupor, and then look for it on Z2 and not find it? Post here, and see if anyone else has it. Give as much information as possible on the games, including title, author, genre, company, as much as you know.

If you have one of these games, you may reply directly on this thread, although it would be preferable to e-mail the person who was looking for the game, and to submit it to Z2 with relevant notes.

I'll kick it off, with these recent discoveries of missing filenames which had SQL entries on Z2 (since removed):

Lost Pyramid, The - James Holub - pyra.zip - 44kb - FOUND! Thanks, Chris.
Mayhem FL - Ultima - mayhemfl.zip - 13kb

And yes, before anyone else says it, the irony of that first one being lost is pretty damn stark.

YOU THE MAN

But if the author requests to have a game removed, it can never be put back again without the author's say-so, right? That stinks. REBEL AGAINST THE MAN AND MAKE YOUR OWN SITE THAT HOSTS GAMES WITHOUT PERMISSION AND MAKES EVERYBODY MAD

... holy shit, Ryan, I never thought of that.

All right ... let's isolate it to 'classic' games. That shouldn't cause too many problems. - MadTom <:)

Darn. I was hoping you'd suddenly change the rules and sneak Knightt's games into the archive. But that would be silly.

Posting on EvilMario's behalf ... he's missing an encyclopaedia he made with HM in Super ZZT. If anyone can help him find that, I'm sure he'd appreciate it.

Hmm, I might have a Super ZZT encyclopedia somewhere. I don't know if it's EvilMario's, but I'll check.

All right, so I've got the Interactive Fantasies encyclopedia with four files: SuperZZT Creatures, SuperZZT Items, SuperZZT Terrains, and SuperZZT Tricks. HM is in the bar in the Tricks file. Is that it, or is there another file you're missing?

It might be. I've asked EM to watch the thread. - MadTom <:)

Ryan if you want Knightt's games so bad he allowed them on Zeuxworld... why, I'll never understand...

More importantly, I have all 10 of Nomad's old ZZT Comics. Should I upload them or e-mail them?
Visit the Museum of ZZT
Follow Worlds of ZZT on Twitter

Apologies for the old post you may have just read.

Oh, good! E-mail them to me, if you wouldn't mind. Though I'm not sure they weren't left off Z2 intentionally.

Thank you for the effort, Ryan, but it turns out that that's not what he was looking for.

First off, I'd like to state how ecstatic I am that Space Ducky is available again. It reminds me of the time James Holub turned up and I told him how cool Lost Pyramid is but how I also hated Stolen Gems so there.

One Prodigy ZZT game I've always wanted to play is Space Station ZZT by Jesse Chang. Anyone?
he looked upon the world and saw it was still depraved :fvkk:

I lost the full version of my game, Series-A. Now it's nothing but the demo version on Z2 :(

Hrmmm.. I have Space Station ZZT and a lot of Club Member ZZT games on 5 1/4 disk back in 1992. haha. If I can find them in my basement. All my games were on their too but found them on the web somehow. Sooner or later I will be able to dig them out. I tried to look for Space Station ZZT on the net, but no luck finding it..
