I know this is written down somewhere but I don't know where to find it.
this fanfare plays ok in kevedit:
Code: Select all
#play T.+exexefedcxcxcdc-agxgxgg#gf#gx
#play T.axbx+dxgx4x1x-dxgx4x1x-dxgx4x1x
#play T.--dxg
but it plays too fast in zzt. the period is supposed to slow it down right? S is too slow, T is too fast. What am I doing wrong?

I don't think it's possible to use dotted thirty-second notes. Now, you could fake the effect by mixing sixteenth and thirty-second notes:
Code: Select all
#play s+etxsetxsetfsetdsctxsctxsctdsc
#play tasgtxsgtxsgtg#sgtf#sgtx
#play satxsbtx+sdtxsgtxs4txs1tx
#play sdtxsgtxs4txs1tx-sdtxsgtxs4txs1tx
#play s--dtxsg
This works in ZZT and sounds roughly the same as the original does in KevEdit. I threw it together haphazardly, so there may be a more compact or more organized way to code it - but that's a problem for the nitpickers.
