Hello, this is Tim Sweeney, author of ZZT. I have a few words about this contest and the 'ZZT Community' in general, which some of you may not like. First of all, I find you all appalling. You are the worst people. I've poked my head in and out of the community from time to time, browsing the forums when I get a free moment, and what I've found disgusts me. Your ZZT 'worlds' are depraved, featuring awful language and content. At one point, I read the front page of the 'primary ZZT website' and saw that a very ugly man had posted a picture of his eyebrow piercing. You all have stupid politics over websites and channels about a game I made over a decade ago. What is wrong with you?

As for this contest, I was assured by the creators that 24HOZZTs were a popular idea. The concept of making a game in 24 hours has always intrigued me, as it took me 18 years to write Jill of the Jungle. How could someone possibly design something this quickly? ZZT worlds would surely be easier than programming a game though, so I looked forward to seeing your stories unfold. When I saw that there were only three entries, I was both disappointed and angry which got even worse when I actually played them. I could have shit out a better game in 5 minutes using Turbo PASCAL, compared to these ZZT worlds which are made using a built-in editor! You all make me sick, never contact me again.

In conclusion, I think you all should know that Unreal engine games feature a very easy to learn map editor, and you should all get a life and make some deathmatch maps. Thank you.

NADIR - This game is clearly dedicated to some inside joke I am not privvy to. It also featured no gameplay, I wasn't even able to fire bullets. I did enjoy the "world map" sequence though - even I'm not sure how that was done, and I made this program! However, this loses points for not being about the topic, "Question Marks". 2/10

QUANTUM - I'm not sure what to make of this. It clearly featured some fairly great art for a ZZT world, but it wasn't actually a game at all. There weren't even any keys in it to unlock your front door. It was on topic though, and as a piece of art I suppose it stands. 6/10

MISTER LAD - The only actual game, and with actual dialogue even though it was terrible, this game featured a glitch where you could get 32400 ammo before leaving your home. The gameplay itself was unbalanced, with you versus a large group of monsters who surround you and throw stars (which should be used sparingly in a ZZT world!). 4/10
