Yeah, this has kind of been a shitty week with the weaving and everything so I haven't had a chance. Sorry I haven't gotten the games out yet. I promise that at the very least I will do it sometime before going to bed tonight, though. Or in other words, within twelve hours from right now.

Nadir disliked my game I shall now commit suicide.

Actually, you're pretty much right about the graphics. I was actually really surprised when Kjorteo said he liked them.

Well, I appreciated the stylistic effect they achieved. It's kind of like how I liked Venge Again's text graphics too. I mean, sure, neither game had typical good solid what-you-see-in-a-real-ZZT-game graphics, but I liked the effect that having them like that made.

I still need to take Nadir's scores and average them with mine to make an overall, then make an official compilation with that and all the game files and stuff. I will try my best to do that within the next couple of days.

Just looking at Nadir's scores and doing some math, though, I think Quantum barely pulled out the victory, with Dos a very close second.

Again, I will try my hardest to have the official compilation (with averaged scores and everything) either tonight or within the next day or so. No promises, but I will try my hardest goddamnit :ssj:

THE RESULTS ARE IN

First off, a big thank you to everyone who participated! The entries were really high-quality this time around. The actual number of entries was a little above average, but the overall quality of this contest was unprecedented in personal memory of the three contests I myself have seen. Well done, guys!

Your winner, Weekend of ZZT Champion, and host of the next one unless he specifically waives his champion hosting privileges, is Quantum P., for his game Commando Exorcist. Coming in a very close second is Dr. Dos with his game Dracula's Curse. Ando takes third for his game Scorch 3000 Fanfiction: Live Action Edition.

I compiled a large ZIP file with everyone's games and submitted it to z2. It is now up to one of the z2 admins to...like...upload it or something.

Again, thanks to everyone for playing! This one was a tremendous success, and hopefully the next one will be too.

Yay! I don't mind hosting the next WoZ. What is the typical time period between these contests?

It was about three months for mine, I think, wasn't it? And this one was a tremendous success. I guess a little longer couldn't hurt, but don't make it too long.

Though actually, the goal is to give people enough of a break so they're not tired of ZZT when it's suddenly time for another WoZ, but still actually maintaining interest. You can wait the full six months, but if six months goes by without a word and then all the sudden "Hey guys WoZ this week :D," the results will not be pretty. For my contest, I announced a very general timeframe ("WoZ in like..two or three months from now") the day the last one ended, posted more concrete information as a plan came to be, and posted periodic reminders so people wouldn't forget that it was coming.

I tried to be fairly obvious, so it's 2006WoZ.zip. For now, you can find it in the unsorted uploads:
http://zzt.org/?p=uploaded

I don't have approval powers, though, so it's up to one of the real admins to actually put that somewhere!
