Not to be stuck on myself 'n sh!t, but I tried and made sure that my PB game has score as score. (hmm But a scoreboard for that would be nice cause I like to see who gotten all the bonuses 'n shtuff.)
...
Anyway, a nifty idea for a scoreboard for their games if the author alone make it availible. But caring about scores went out since PacMan age...no wait. Bah! Phooie.
Edit:Also, YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE BEEF!!
SideNote: My Computer finally died so I won't be here for a long time(using my laptop right now). So wooray or whatever.
Score as score sucks because the only thing it does is make you go through another step (the "Congratulations! High Score!" screen) between when you die and when you want to try again.
On the other hand, score is an awesome counter for things like money or enemy party health in an RPG or something for reasons Nadir already mentioned.
"You're alive," said the maker, and smiled at the aardvark.
<Kjorteo> "yiff"
<gbelo> Wanna yiff.
<Kjorteo> yes
<gbelo> No no no.
Well, you could just use saves and strategy to get the PERFECT score...
There would be tricky stuff, though, like trying to shoot centipede segments rather than heads and planning limited bullets for regenerating enemies. You would also need perfect conservation for games that reward you at the end for extra health and ammo and stuff.
