Fall 2005 WoZ

Yes, that's right. It's that time of year again where the community actually has something to do with ZZT, with the renouned and well-appreciated Weekend of Zeux. I've decided to host it, and I've got Madtom's permission to do so it's all alright. Alright, on with the info:

Time Range: 6:30 PM PST on Sept. 30th to 6:30 PM PST on Oct. 3rd.

Judges: Myself and perhaps two other people (Oof, Nuero and Viovis are barred from being judges because I'm far more interested in what they might produce for the contest than their judging ability).

Judging Criteria: It'll be similar to how the other entries of previous WoZs were scored; 10-point scale ranging from 0 to 10 based on graphics, plot, theme adherence, gameplay, originality, and so forth.

Topics: To be revealed at the start of the WoZ. There will be two topics to choose from; you can implement both into your submission if you want but I don't recommend it. I will allow a lot of flexibility for how you utilize and implement the topic(s) in your submission, but don't take any huge liberties.

Submission: You must send it to me via e-mail at ande9108@uidaho.edu by 6:30 PM PST on Oct. 3rd (although I will still accept submissions if they are just like, 5 minutes late). It can be as large or as small in size as you want it, but practicality is advised. I would like for the submissions to simply be in ZZT format, but if you really want to submit a SZZT entry then you're allowed to do so.

That's all that I can think of for now. Anyways, let's hope that this WoZ will be a good one!

Don't know how much time I'll have that weekend since it's the start of term here.

I think this is 00:30 Oct 1st -> 00:30 Oct 4th GMT, can anyone confirm this?

I can never tell what my work schedule is going to be, so I can never enter these things with anything better than reluctance. Then again, I took a kind of "put my name in and I might do something, maybe, I guess" attitude to the last WoZ and wound up its champion. So, uh, put my name in and I might do something, maybe, I guess.

Signed up as a contenstant who will get discouraged, drop out, feel bad, and judge instead.

For fuck's sake. I have started entering descent, funny content and i get flammed / insulted in every thread i post no matter what content or funniness i post in whatever thread and its beginning to piss me the fuck off. Heres a little anegdote for you. When I first read this forums, i thought it was hilarious and brilliant. when I saw faggots get mocked for making shit posts i laughed and realised i wanted to be a part of this community. Whats more? I found my self attracted to the females who frequent this forum, which is rare since most females on internet forums are ugly. i thought to myself, if i could take any online community and put it IRL for people to hang out, i would choose z2F. I imagined a high school of z2 where older posters were teachers. hot girls everywhere, funny people making jokes it would have been the best fucking school in the world i thought. But gradually, with each needless flame and racist shit i saw, i realised how gay you truely are.I thought to myself, maybe i can remedy the gayness by making funny posts, while still not being rude to newbs. not flaming unless i was flamed first. Im looking for a bento box, it cant be pinku (thats japanese for pink) or any girl color. It has to be of 2 or more kotoba (thats japanese for 2 compartments) and has be be chibi (small) sized. And has to be really kawaii (cute). Also It has to be about 10-20 bux. And you have to post pics of it first (i want to make shure it's kawaii [cute]). And it would be nice if it came with matching chopstick holder (WITH chopsticks). OH! and it CANNOT have any cartoon pictures, or be made out of plastic. It has to be made of ceramic, or something like that. Also it would be nice if it was made in japan. and not in china or corea (korea) or whatever. I have found a bento box similar to the one im describing in e-bay, but it was 1 kotoba, and i dont want my gohan (rice) to touch my other things (it can get wet and i would not like that, plus 2 compartments looks more kawaii)

So does anyone want to be a judge? You can still submit an entry as one I suppose, but it wouldn't be included in the judging (unless maybe, the other two judges could judge it, but I don't know).
