It is programmed to do half tiles - that was the only good thing about it.Commodore wrote:maybe if it was programed to use half solids it'd be better, but I tend to agree with the masses. It's useful for getting the shape sometimes.
I can't really explain why people often go green, it's probably because the colour of skin is nearer to green than you might think.

I ALSO CARE.. It's the king. I find it's best to use irfan view AND paint.. print the screen.. paste into irfan view.. Plus, that's a very detailed picture. I coulda zoomed in on the face, but I chose not to, because I wanted to emphasise on that crown.. which is some other picture i just pasted on top of his head before converting.. because that's what he is! the king! the best way is to use the same bitmap every time and paste things into paint without changing the size... and if you wanna do resizing the image to fit in a window, use irfan view.. try tampering with the color balance and brightness too..
I wouldn't go about to bring out photoshop or nuthin just to end up converting it to a zzt file.... I have a new system now where it saves the picture to b.zzt and loads another file like pics.zzt in kevedit... so then you just type in T enter enter enter s enter y enter and you're done. and this batch does half the battle for me:
bmptozzt4 b.bmp b.zzt
h:\zzt\kevedit zbokbag6
and since b's near the beginning of the alphabet, you don't have to scroll to that zzt file.. i'd also give bmp2zzt its own directory. it totally deserves it.. And it's significantly smaller than zbitmap, does half tones, and it's in c so it runs hella fast..
But yeah, you can get all sorts of stuff stuff of stuff.
I still wanna see bmp2zzt 5.
