So! Fur Affinity looks like it could be the new big thing for SheezyArt refugees. Or, at least the furry ones. Well, I don't know what will and will not be acceptable content, actually. They have yet to write a full TOS. I only have these clues to go by: adult, fanart, and adult fanart, even the blatant yiff (none of this "It's not 'Adult,' it's 'Mature!'" crap) are OK, but it has been revealed on the boards that underage stuff including fictional underage cartoons (cubart) and fanart of underage characters (ie Relm pr0n) will not be. The fictional stuff is technically legal if you go prove your case, but Jheryn just doesn't want to deal with it. Anything else hasn't been mentioned yet. I know Killy mentioned that they want to get a TOS out as soon as possible and stick with it, so that people can be slightly annoyed at the no-nos now but still use the site, rather than thinking everything is fine now and then getting screwed when the admins suddenly change their minds, a la SheezyArt.

Anyway, where was I? I think my brain lapped itself. Oh! Right! Fur Affinity. We had a beta version of the gallery setup at furpawz.net/art/, which attracted an unbelievable 838 submissions before it had to be closed early because we hit Furpawz' storage limit. Um, oops....

Anyway, beta went well, ton of bugs but Jheryn seems to be working on most of them. (Also, all those goodies are still there on Furpawz, which is up but in read-only mode.) This is going to lead to Fur Affinity at furaffinity.net. Right now they have a bulletin board over there to discuss problems and put in dibs if you want your own official sub-forum off the main page, not unlike what Furtopia does. I have absolutely no clue what that means, nor do I know what Furtopia does, but I'm copy/pasting there. Sounds like a neat feature, though. Anyway, much like [info]kategod's YayWhee, Fur Affinity is coming and it looks like it's going to be an awesome home for SA refugees.

I beta'd it and can say that while there were tons of bugs, the layout and design was very reminiscent of SheezyArt, and it didn't take me more than an hour to adapt fully after being used to SA. It also had one or two neat little things here and there, like the ability to know what freaking page you're on when you browse through submissions. Assuming the bugs get worked out and the wishlist features get added in, this place is going to be awesome. Also, the fact that we already borked Furpawz in like two days and Jheryn is still talking about moving the Fur Affinity project forward on furaffinity.net tells me that he knows what kind of volume he's up against, and thus will not have to pull a sudden "CRAP we're out of space and we're going to this brand new NO PORN server sorry guys :D" move, a la SheezyArt.

So yes. Furry Affinity is coming and I guess go hang around the forums if you want more specific information than that. I'm also interested in YayWhee, but at this point, FA would have to suddenly suck beyond belief and YW would have to completely blow it out of the water for me to contemplate switching. FA so far looks like it's easier and friendlier, and there's a community and stuff. I'm optimistic at the very least.

I like feet. That's an understatement. I have a huge foot fetish, and nice-looking feet in a yiffy picture do much more for me than a good genital shot or whatever. I prefer plantigrade over digitigrade. I love my own feet in real life as well, and take great pride in how hard they've become after going barefoot everywhere for long enough. I also just like how they look and confess to having masturbated to them a few times, though mostly when I was in the bathroom and away from my computer's porn collection and..well, I needed something. Anyway, I started work on R.S.B. again. I couldn't really work on it at home because if my parents found out they would flip out. One time about 3 1/2 years ago they banned me from the computer for 3 months just because my mom caught me writing "Sexy Boi" in red solids in the ZZT World Editor. So yeah, common sense told me not to work on it while I was on vacation. Which really sucks because I'm not going to win an award for it now that MTP is gone forever. Oh well. It probably would have lost to Aura or ZPinball (or whatever) anyway.
