nps: nintendo did this tour thing where they went to malls across america whenever the card game first came out years and years ago and they had a machine that would give you a lv5 mew if you had an empty slot in your party. the only thing good about mew was it got boosted experience because it counted as a traded pokemon. so yah, unless you can find someone who went to that thing and still has their game, you have to use a gameshark.

Bah. Traded pokemon? Getting 1.5x experience per battle just means that the pokemon only has to fight 2/3 as much to gain the same number of levels, and the less a pokemon fights, the crappier its stats become. That's the same reason why it's better to catch pokemon at a low level, a pokemon raised on Rare Candy will always be weaker than a normally trained pokemon of the same level, and pokemon tend to get better stat gains as they obtain higher levels (i.e. a Chansey will gain 5-7 HP per level when first caught, but 7-8 HP when its level is in the 90s). So what if Mew can learn some TMs that Mewtwo can't? Mewtwo can already learn nearly all of the strong ones anyway and has far better overall stats. Mew does look kinda cool, though.
