That was the best postcard, too. Motivation, Dilbert-style!
I am making a ZZTV channel, #mrfm. It's partly done, and I'll probably send it to you at the end of August/beginning of September. And surprisingly, I don't have a bunch of deleted scenes lying around.

There's a creepy spider somewhere around here somewhere...
Appliance, what system are you running? Did you get any error messages, and if so, what did they say? Any other symptoms? Have you installed, removed, or tinkered with existing files/applications?
I suppose, in the worst case scenario, you could always run ZZT through DosBox. It's not as convenient as running it normally, but it's a pretty good Dos emulator.

I use XP (have been for awhile with no problems)
When I load it up, the screen goes black for a second then goes back to the desktop and an error message comes up that says:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitiable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.

My own channel #mobydick is all but finished, and I have the title screen(s) for each file all mapped out. I'm anticipating four files' worth of stuff at this rate, but that may change depending on who ultimately submits and who doesn't.
Keep in mind that I'm also more than happy to take a look at in-progress channels. I might be able to offer some words of encouragement, or advice, or something.

Wants to get inside your head and tell it like it is
Appliance, send me your AUTOEXEC.NT file. From the error message, I'm guessing it's in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. If you can't find the file there, please let me know. My email is cipher110@yahoo.com.
