If I may add an anecdote to Moose's answer, before the battery acid and fire ants, you could also utilize maiming and/or javelins.

You think to crude my friend. The effects of such things would not only be easily avoided but also easily LIVED through. Such is the case that spekk would like to know different ways to KILL me. Your methods leave much to be desired…all of you. The brutal inefficient methods you don upon such flies such as myself could not be descried as totally flawed but more stupid than reasonably painful. So may I suggest the simple yet practical method of suffocation? The methods are numerous really, and to spare as much bandwidth as possible, I will leave them out. (Use you’re utterly, (if not defected), brains to work something out.) Another simple and ‘somewhat’ painful death would be a fatal stab to the vitals. Preferably to the heart or lungs. Remember my friends, if complications do arise remember that some poison can also work well if you want to get it over before the cops come. I hope this answer is more ‘detailed’ and user friendly than Mooseka’s was spekk.
