TMC Music

Post by Will Sharber »

I am in urgent need of music for my upcoming game: The movie channel. If anyone would be so kind as to volunteer, then I will send you the first file so that you can write appropriate music for it. Ryan F. and MadTom have already contributed a good bit of musical talent, and I would appreciate it if they made some more. Sorry if I seem imposing, guys.

(You may want to have your hand in this. TMC is turning out quite well.)

So ... well, post here if you wish to contribute. Thank you for your time.

Type random words and sentences after #play.

If you do it well, it actually turns out halfway decent.

In the rules, we wrote:* FishIg is dead. Please don't revive it.
I think that the 'type a random sentence' response to requests for music is very bad advice. It's occasionally useful to get an idea for a melody going, but even then only when one is desperate. Otherwise, it's preferable to have no music at all.

I don't mean any personal offence, I'm just really annoyed by that response cropping up every time someone asks for music. <:(

Anyway, sure, I'll help out a bit more if you need it.

Thank you MadTom. I'll send you all that I have finished that requires music (On the first file). But the musical chapter, I wish to write myself. Even though I'm not the best at music composing. Or I could always use "When you're lying awake," by Gilbert and Sullivan. I've tested the lyrics with the backgroung music playing and it plays quite well.

Edit: But that G & S theme seems cliche after JWW made ESP, and everyone started thinking that he was the only G & S enthusiast in the world.)

Thanks MadTop!

Thank you Ryan and MadTom. But unless you are in great need to help someone out (which I'm just sure tou are) I'd like to wait a while until I have all the boards I need to put music on in one bunch. I just needed assurance that you would help me. So I'll have it ready as soon as possible. Thanks again.
