Do you actually care about zzt?

In your adventures through the Town of ZZT, you have been captured by the evil Dungeon Guards. Not recognizing you as the great escape artist you are, the guards have thrown you in the Dungeons of ZZT.

Do you actually care about zzt?

Post by 518 »

This question came up on #rawr a day back. My question to all of you is, do you actually care about zzt anymore, or is it nothing at all and the community is king?

YES I KNOW there probably have been other posts like this one, but I can't find any right now, and I'd rather not resurrect dead topics if I can help it.

As for me personally, yes I do like zzt. It fulfills me in a way that only true zzt'ers would understand. Working on it is sporadic for me, as I haven't uploaded a game since my name was Kyn, and I have too many projects going on at once. I supposed if I really focused, I could get the bulk of them done in a week. And perhaps I will come some week. Should I be positive/foolish and say that oh yes, I will get one of my games done tonight, or be negative/detrimental and say that I'll never get a full game out? I'm rambling on, of course.

I'll just say this, Zzt is still my favorite part of z2. And no commune can compare. Amen.

I care for ZZT whenever I get an idea for game. Which is nearly all the friggin time, except none of them so far have lasted more than 1 board/5 minutes of speculation.

I care about the community, mostly. But that doesn't mean I'm going to go BUHH ZZT SUXXX. I still realize it's a ZZT site, and I'll still run it like one. We're considering having a contest with zeuxworld.com soon or something, so STAY TUNED dndn.

No, there have never been any topics like this one.

I really do care about zzt but making games requires effort and commitment and those are things I just don't have because the good lord he is my savior never provided me them. WHAM!

If it weren't for zzt I wouldn't be here. More likely, the community will be the reason why I should want to leave...

I'm here for ZZT.
I did!--I did!--You're quicker than your friend... Now for a handful of guilders I happen to have a private and uncut performance of The Rape of the Sabine Women-or rather woman, or rather Alfred--. Get your skirt on, Alfred--

I think the big glory-days of rampant game-making are gone. I'm mostly here for the community, but I ocasionally work on games.
