This brings up another question I have always wondered about- if you place something that has no parameters on something that does, are the parameters lost? for example, I have a passage. I #put a gem on top of it. then I #put a passage on a gem. does the passage work as it did before, or were the p...

MINIGAME IDEAS! I mentioned this one in another forum, but you could make a minigame like Skifree, that game that used to come with Windows 3.1 and 95. Also, original random dungeon minigames are fun, if you don't make the player go through 85 levels of it (5 or 10 is enough for one stretch). I have...

Here's an idea: Skifree ZZT. (you know, that skiing game that comes with chip's challenge where you carreen down the slopes avoiding trees, hitting jumps, and in the end get eaten by the yeti?) if you made the map randomized, it would have good replay value- and a pretty simple engine. Another Idea ...

UPDATE! in zzt online it should be possible to edit a house (which WILL be purchased in the form of an empty board) in any way imaginable either online(realtime) or offline. also, the only thing you will ahve to have admin's help with is changing board links (off edges), making new boards (they will...

I could test ZZWorks for Windows 98 fourth edition (yes, it is real. yes, it is rare. yes, it is very cool. NO, I WILL NOT GIVE IT TO YOU. I do not deal warez.) although from my experience anything that will run on Win95 will work perfectly on all Win-32 OS's (Windows 95, 98, 98SE) as these systems ...

Alright! New ZZTer! heh heh... fresh blood... anyway, I reccomend that you play and thoroughly edit the ZZT encyclopedia, as well as the Mystical Winds encyclopedia. The ZZTV series is a good starter, too. Once you play enough games, you will gain great wisdom in programming new, better games. One o...

Yes, it is always fun to have games where you kill people for no particular reason. This is the foundation many great ZZT games are built on. However, Newbies making games about killing other ZZTers do NOT make newbies into oldbies. Make a game where you loot spaceships while in search of the perfec...

try ZZTOnline!
You know, I am currently working on something much like that. It even has it's own thread, ZZTOnline under the clones and external editors section. The Project is NOT dead, just in early stages of development. Please post opinions and sugestions.

Ok, let me clarify a few things. By saying that you could submit boards, I just meant that as one way to do it. There will, of course, be ingame menus to let you place walls, edit objects, etc. The only ingame limitation I forsee is that you will probably have to ask an admin to add new blank boards...

ummm... to be perfectly honest, every ZZT clone has fallen flat, at least to some extent. ZIG is as buggy as a fly strip, BANG! is a cool idea, but the editor is IMPOSSIBLE to use, and I dunno, Megazeux just doesn't have that classic feel..(I think it's the scrolling bords...). I started out on MZX,...

Trust me, I AM trying to make this NOT suck. Mooseka, what kind of stuff would you want from IRC? For chat, what I'm planning is something like, if you walk up to within 3 or 4 spaces of someone, you can use a key combo or something to pull up a chat window that would be kind of like a simplified ve...
