Oh my god so much of the site is outdated. Let's list pages and errors and then at some point fix them!

Code: Select all

	faq:
"10 years ago" should be 20 years ago good lord.
		"1.2 like" should mention ZU
"1.3" ZZT.org died 9 years ago, nobody is asking about it???
"1.5" We are not on the underdogs any longer
		"1.6" Again comparing to zzt.org
"1.7" Add update the wiki as something to make site better
		"1.8" doctordos e-mail again
"1.10" I imagine we can have users download 2 games at once. In theory. If they are on dial-up.
		"2.2" epicmegagames.com no longer exists :( epicgames.com does.
"2.2" ZZT was declared freeware in 1997 I believe
"2.2" shipped with ZZT in 1991
"2.3" Will ZZT run on my system is no longer a "yes"
"2.4" I feel this question is overly harsh and would be better as a "Are there any games similar to ZZT?" or something to basically just plug MZX.
"2.6" Oh man that's right we used to actually have a forum just for ZZT-OOP questions
"2.7" Who are we kidding with ZZT companies
		"2.8" Again, zzt companies.
"2.8" Remove the "Heh" this isn't dMZX.
		"3.3" Just e-mail e-mail doctordos
		"3.4" almost never
"3.5" Yes! We accept Super ZZT games. Nobody cares about ZIG.
"3.7" About ZZT link redirects to main page
And replace my name/e-mail once more.

	Newbie Guide:
Again, mentions running under windows not being an issue.
It being 2010 I don't think instructions on how to download a file are necessary especially when it shows you how in IE 5!
It being 2010 Windows can deal with zip files on its own.
		my e-mail address!
You do not press the B key to open the editor!
		the "write" game
		stop linking my e-mail
		i mean it.
COMPLETED:

Code: Select all

Main:
Remake top navigation bar
	help/old news/staff probably shouldn't be there
	ZUltimate should

help:
	"tell us" links to doctordos@gmail.com

when has that ever stopped us before

"Will ZZT run on my system?" needs a link to dosbox and a quick outline of the difference between windows xp and vista/7

dosbox used to suck at running zzt but it's basically fine on my computer now. it kind of fucks up long notes in zzt music though (but it plays clicks properly, something running zzt under xp never did)

will go through list properly later. maybe i will even poke through these billion year old articles

you don't have the ability to remove your own email? it shouldn't be too hard right?

you propose we just delete the companies forum, archive it off forum, or what?

the horrid truth is that most of the current z2 maintenence droids don't actually know how to change the articles. maybe quantum p can offer us a quick crash course in how to change things without breaking the site????? via email or the staff forums of course. just a thought, a minute ponderance

also i move we should lock and move the zzt companies section to "the filth". who's with me here

also maybe this talk should be in the staff forum but whatever, let's encourage Transparency With Our Users (all 5 of 'em)

I can easily edit all of these, but it is annoying to do so while in bed and bored on a laptop. I'm pretty sure there's some magic file somewhere that has the e-mail address that appears for the owner on every page because I doubt people updated all these pages with my e-mail.

I laughed, but to my surprise there is such a thing (index.php line 16)! Does anyone still check the z2staff Gmail account, or should I just change it to my email address?

I kind of feel guilty because I haven't been doing anything to keep the site up-to-date. A lot of stuff needs to be documented, and probably reorganized. Stuff like phpBB should be upgraded.

Nadir: My general rule of thumb is find the page that needs to be changed in your web browser, look at the last word in the URL, then FTP in and look for a .z2 file that has a similar name.

it is not just you quantum. we are all to blame here. z2 has been crying, crying for attention and we have all denied it the nourishing teat it direly needed

I've recently wanted to court some sites for link exchange but since I can't add things I can't really. Once I had the ftp password, and did nothing with it. :P

You have a little penis and you want to have it suckled by z2?

I was thinking about Commodore's youtube videos. Is it an idea to include links on z2?

You mean like from the games themselves on the archive pages or a link on the main page to the channel?
