Does anyone know if Appliance gets on anymore? I loved his games.

I do take it to a few conventions. I don't do it to impress people, just to complete the outfit. I usuallu go with two buddies who get all dressed up for it, and I don't want to be the n00b (or actually only normal guy) between them without a getup.

So... ZZT's not dead yet, right? I hope not. I began 'programming' with it. Loved it. Made a few games on an old, crappy computer, never uploaded any because the drive died when I finally got it a new network card. I'd remake them, but I forgot a lot of the stuff to ZZT. The forums seem kinda... desolate. I'm sorry.

The forums are kind of slow, but ZZT isn't dead yet (despite claims to the contrary). I think a couple of people (myself included) have games in the works.

I may not have any games in the works right now, but I still love some good ZZT. Thanks to your site, and all the games hosted I learned the ways of making great engines, get bored in making the game, scrap the engine I completed, and work on another. I think all together I scrapped 30 games because I wanted to do something different each time. And from learning that way I moved on to other game creation systems.

Didn't steal any engines, just looked at how they were made. And Card Prime is by far my favorite engine and idea so far. (No offense to anyone who reads this and made something cool I overlooked.)

I wish I completed more than 2.

And I will try to make new ZZT stuffs. I don't know or don't care if they'll get played. But I want to contribute some work to this site. How long has it been since there was the 24 hours (I know I spelled it wrong) competition?

It's been a while. The more recent contests have been Weekends of ZZT, where you get 72 hours to make a game.

We should have another contest somtime.

Cool. 72 hours. This way more effort will be put in... hm... Since appliance isn't here to chew me out, I'd prolly work on a Card Prime III, this time it's like Card Prime I. Much like how Capcom made Disney games in the old days, the Virgin started making them. And now they make phones. So after I fail, what should I make? I'll find something.

Hey guys. Who is the owner of this site? Zenith Nadir?

I just wanted top ask if it was okay that I used the name Card Prime for future projects, since you are the current owner. I'm trying to make a Windows based game with the title "Card Prime" and I'm just asking for permission to use the name. Credit will be given.

Thanks.

Zenith Nadir is the Emperor of Malice and Haunter of Dreams.

From what I can gather, Appliance hasn't posted here since 2006 or so. I could be wrong.
