If people could put T,M or A in there text files ir would be easyer to tell what games kids can play. I have syblings so it gets annoying to test play every single game i download just to see if it has sex, drugs,or bad words in it. BUt i can asure you. all games by westside zzt club will be family frendly.

Except for the fact that that would involve going through every game on the archive and rating it.

A couple of people have rated games in their reviews (for example, one of catfriedrice's reviews). Reviews are really the closest thing to ratings that we have; sometimes you can get an idea of what the game is like by reading its reviews. My other suggestion is to try some of the older games - they're usually a bit cleaner than the newer releases.

Like Dr. Dos said, rating all the games in the archive would require a fair amount of work, so you won't be seeing ratings anytime soon. However, if you want to start reviewing games or putting ratings in your own games, feel free to do so.

I know that the already relesed games will take a while to rate ,but, It should be the programmers responsability to inform players about the content of thier games

hiding won't help you. if you don't like/can't tolerate sex, drugs, porn, you should disconnect your modem. It's ineveitable you'll come across it somewhere on the internet, z2 is no different.

that said, the range of zzt games is as varied as people themselves. some people are like that, people you have to live with. the only sure way is to playtest them.

if he thought you could tell without playtesting them, he probably wouldn't have suggested a rating system, idiot.

I don't get it. I never suggested he could tell without playtesting them. I only meant what he was doing is the only thing he can do (as he can't make us check every single game and rate it.) Likewise what I said about authors is true, especially if westside does make only family friendly games.

It is all about the author (including warnings in txts, etc is all on the programmer's head.) Perhaps z2 should make it more clear that it doesn't really censor games based on content, that is if it's not glaringly clear by the content of the message board.

I think the best way to help our friend here is by recommending authors whose body of work consists of clean games. Some of those would be Madguy, Nivek, Greg Janson, Chronos, and Koopo.

ill check some of those peoples games. Also if zzt does not censore the containt of games that is fine. But, one thing is clear, Some people would leave once the downloaded a bad game. They would think everone made bad games.
