I grew up watching AoStH every morning. It was such a wonderful show at the time and watching Shmorky's flash cartoons with dialogue from it makes me realize how awful it was.

Then my brother found out about the good SatAM one.

Last year I downloaded the entire series off some sonic torrent site. That site is down and bi-torrent the last time I checked only has one that's like 3GB and i'm not getting that for some cartoons that also aren't good anymore.

Enerjak in Aura was named after a character from the comics.

Also I'd reread my comics once in awhile but they also suck now.

Everything sucks now!

EVEN YOU! :drussrox:

I didn't read comic books. I am glad for that.

Though I did collect Sonic cards.

that's why the 80's nostalgia boom burned out so fast

because thousands of twentysomethings with disposable income were like "durr i liked thundercats and transformers when i was 5 i'll buy stuff of them" and they did until they realised that the only reason they liked them was because they were little kids and had no taste so they stopped

which is good, because the eighties were unfathomably hideous in all aspects with a few exceptions.

having said that, i still think the scratch and grounder sonic cartoons are hilarious

(they're hilarious because they're so bad, of course! i'm still hip! honest!!)

Every six months?

:(

(lolz a lot of stuff has happened since Nadir said that)

Anyways, that blows! I don't want that giant book!
Zack: Preppy, charming and totally gorgeous! Zach is a schemer who would rather stay up all night figuring how to get out of an exam than studying for it!

Slater: The All-American athlete with dimples to die for! Captain of Bayside's football team, Slater is a chauvinist who -- believe it or not -- has an emotional side. What a combo!

Screech: Class clown and electronic genius! When Screech turns on the power, the fun never stops!

I think I've only seen one episode of the Scratch & Grounder version. It seemed funny, but it was on at a crappy time so I didn't bother. I loved the other version though, and it's a shame that it only lasted two seasons. Power Rangers (Another show I loved before I developed standards) and random time slot changes killed the poor thing, forcing it to end on a cliffhanger.

I've read the comic on and off almost since the beginning, and it has its moments. It's not without its problems; Ron Lim is one of the worst artists I've ever seen, and I'm glad they're finally phasing him out in favor of others. They've also got a new editor but that doesn't seem to have changed anything. And it seems that for every good plot, thread there's another equally retarded one and four or five loose ends. But, no matter what happens, it can never be worse than it was in issues #90-100 or so, therefore I've forgotten what my point was when I started talking.

Also Sonic was early 90's anyway, not 80's.

Also also Enerjak was freaking awesome

also also also evrybody knoews tht bunnie rbabot is much htoter htan taht two bit slut sally

Zandor i was like 8 or so when I stopped reading the comics.

This was uh... actually let me check #57 is when my subscription that I got for christmas ran out and I was getting sick of them past #50 because it was dumb and they got rid of robotnik.

Sonic Mega Collection has all the covers scanned so I got a very vague idea of what happened.

The Sonic CD one was the best because Mecha Sonic is the best sonic character in the universe and Sonic CD fucking rocks and Stardust Speedway was the best zone ever.

But you're creepy and know the artists and shit

I know the name Spaz because I remember him being mentioned in some SONIC GRAMS at the end like HOLY SHIT SPAZ IS COMING BACK GOOD NEWS GUYS!!!!!!

I remember that sometimes there would be pictures of the comic's fans in some of the issues because, well, fans like to send pictures of themselves sometimes and comics sometimes put them with the rest of the comic.

Anyway the point of what I am saying is that the pictures would usually be of little kids but occasionally it would be pictures of really creepy older men. They were probably the predecessors to furries and are probably furries now.

Come to think of it, that comic is probably the most responsible for establishing the furry fandom.

I really cannot fathom why anyone would jack off to Sally Acorn.

It's funny because Ando thinks furries are some relatively new thing, as opposed to something Freud talked about.

I know Freud mentioned bestiality somewhere in his discussion of neuroses but I'm pretty surprised to hear he foretold that people would jack off to Sally Acorn from The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog while dressed like Starfox in diapers.

To be completely honest, I never really got into comics

My parents were poor and they were like "ok you can either keep your subscription to Nintendo Power or you can get a subscription to X-Men BUT NOT BOTH", and since Nintendo Power used to rock my fucking face off, I kept that instead

So everything I know about any comic book superheroes whatsoever is pretty much limited to the cartoons and the Marvel vs Capcom series

Speaking of Marvel vs Capcom, Marvel totally should have had a comic book series based on those games, it would have been so cool

Also, Spider-Man would kick Zangief's ass, he'd just be all "Maximum Spider, bitch" and kick Zangief's ass all over the place

I think Megaman could take him, though, as long as it's the MvC1 Megaman and not MvC2 Megaman
