Whoo hoo. Back online for an update and then I'm gone again. First, a screen shot. It's not that great because I threw it together but it gives you some idea what the first level will look like.

And finally, character information updates:

Seventh Shade
Special ability: Main weapon is rapid fire.
Special weapons: Bladecaster - Fires two bouncy shurikens.
Cluster Bombs - Throws small bombs in 4 directions.

Dr. Dos
Special ability: Gets double special weapons power from pick ups.
Special weapons: Shield Generator - Both players invincible for a few seconds.
Ball Lightning - Fires a ball of energy that shoots bolts at nearby enemies.

Nadir
Special ability: Main weapon does double damage.
special weapons: Charge rockets - Explosive rockets that plow through bullets.
EMP Flash - Stuns all enemies for a few seconds.

Fungahhh
Special ability: Double maximum health.
Special weapons: Molotov Cocktails - Throws a short range fire bomb.
Triple Shot - Both players fire three shots at once.

Froman
Special ability: Lucky (enemies are twice as likely to drop bonuses)
Special weapons: Laser Barrier - Creates an impassible barrier for a few seconds.
Remote Mines - Lays a mine. Second use detonates it.

Eurakarte
Special abilities: Enemies twice as likely to go after him, he has 1.5 times the normal amount of health, his main weapon is short range, and whenever he kills an enemy eats it's corpse to gain a small amount of health back. No special weapons.

Roles so far:

Clecky - Arms/drug dealer
Gofer-chan - a type of enemy (trained attack gofer. burrows and sets bombs). Might still be upgraded to mini boss.
FSFunky - a type of enemy (fat guy with twin lightning cannons).
Koji - functions like waldo in where's waldo. Find him for points.
Nondescript - ultra hidden. looks like a piece of nondescript terrain. worth large amounts of points if found.
Exophase - cranky, irate team leader. Constantly complains about how much damage you cause.
Apage - vehicle specialist. (don't worry, it'll make sense in the game)
Dave2 - ninja assassin. Also works as a messenger.
Zombie Guy - type of enemy (typical brainless zombie)
Insidious - boss/level
