HARLEQUIN AND THE OTHER STRANGE FETUSES will go into the studio to begin working on their NEW ALBUM this week.
It is called THE BALLAD OF EXOPHASE, and it is a concept album about Exophase growing up in the ghetto. He is mugged one night and vows to dedicate his life to PROTECTING THE INNOCENT. He takes up a rare form of kickboxing and goes out on the streets, saving the innocent townspeople from muggers.
However, Exophase is CRIPPLED in a shootout, when he tries to break up a gang of hooligans snorting crack cocaine.
With his disability, he can no longer fight crime. He turns to the internet where he finds a community that loves him despite his disabilities. However, Exo lives on with remorse and guilt about no longer being able to help the innocent. THE ALBUM WILL END WITH AN AMAZING PLOT TWIST YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS! ! !
Also in a never before heard stroke on GENIUS, this concept album will play like a RADIO STATION in the ghetto, with interludes created by chopping up a conversation I had with a few of my friends while we were really blazed.
The album will be a clever mixture of salsa, oldschool gangsta rap, DEATH METAL, electronic classical, operatic, and a genre being pioneered by HATOSF called "TARDCORE".
THE CURRENT HATOSF LINEUP INCLUDES:
Mooseka - every instrument ever, vocals, mixing, production, pringles can
Fungahhh - synthesizer might, vocals, partial birth abortions
Harlequin - vocals and animal noises
Jaeho - clarinets
Featuring new and upcoming radio personality JARRET TWADDLE.
Since we start recording this week I would expect the album out by like, maybe mid-next week, so stay tuned for updates.
