Emoticon Museum
This would be a page or two that listed and displayed all the wacky emoticons the Z2 fora has had. Some of the emoticons have been discontinued, such as the norabevar, the colored (but non-flashing) barons, the "Oh I Say" emoticon, , etc... These classics and not-so-classics could be remembered here, maybe accompanied by a short history or description. The emoticons are a part of Z2's unique history and e-culture, and they should be preserved for the benefit, enjoyment, and possible epileptic seizures of future ZZTers.

At second glance, Pollock's works aren't too bad...
There are shameful parts, but we cannot edit out inconvenient history. Otherwise, someone else will come along, blame us for concealing historical information, and edit history so that we look bad.Zenith Nadir wrote:of course, it would mean we'd have to use the SCREAMING PIRATE thing and i hate that thing
Also, in museums, it's content first, appreciation second. Things are there for everyone to observe, form their opinions, and learn from past mistakes/successes.

Why do smilies go :) instead of (:?
Or you just have good taste.Zenith Nadir wrote:i guess i'm just an intellectual fascist
Also, I'm guessing that the old emoticon images are still stored somewhere on the server. Can anyone with access priviledges verify this? (/fora/images/smiles/ directory listing forbidden)
