PS2, as it's backwards comp, compe, compid, (hell with it) ability, to play PS1 games, means my old PS1 games can be played again. Parasite eve 2, yay!

The PS2, even though SCEA recently aborted the release of Shadow Tower Abyss in the US, despite the fact that Agetec had been working on localizing it for over six months.

Damn it, STA got good reviews in Japan, too. DAMN IT!

The Gamecube is my favorite, but the X-box is pretty nice, as well, especially Halo and Dead or Alive 3.

I do not own a modern console. However I can safely say I _HATE_ the X-box controller.

When I finally buy a system it may well be a PS2 if the next PS does not have compatibility with the older systems.

I've heard the next PS will not have a DVD player too.

It's compatibility retard. Use a dictionary next time.

Edit: Oh, and I'll stick with my XBOX thanks. The Hunter games and Halo make up for lack of anything else.

random note: the ps3 will be able to play ps and ps2 games, supposedly.

i personally am not too fond of the ps2. that may change when star ocean 3 comes out.

I don't own any modern consoles, but my friend is letting me borrow is Playstation 2 until he gets a new televisor. So I'm playing mad Tekken 4. Also I have his Final Fantasy X but I wouldn't be able to finish it soon and it doesn't look like a great game anyway.

ff10 is a good game and a worthwhile play, but don't expect too much. way too much watching, not enough playing. i guess i'd give it a 7 or 8 out of 10 anyway, though.
