LHC live!

Post by Commodore »

With these links you can follow the operation of the largest particle collider in history

The main page:
http://op-webtools.web.cern.ch/op-webto ... p?usr=LHC1

The graph they show most often displays the intensity of the two beams that circulate opposite each other (red and blue). The intensity is how closely the packets of particles are grouped together. The black line is the actual energy level pushing the particles around.

These next three links are for the detectors themselves: The CMS one seems to be the best in terms of actually showing you something:

CMS (Compact Muon Solenoid) http://cms.web.cern.ch/cms/FireworksLive.html
ATLAS (A Toroidal LHC ApparatuS) http://atlas-live.cern.ch/
ALICE (A Large Ion Collider Experiment) http://alice-logbook.cern.ch/aliceOnlin ... nline.html
*POW* *CLANK* *PING*
