i'll rephrase my statement. the zzt community is unimportant and irrelevant to anything zzt may have to offer the good of mankind You're talking nonsense. ZZT probably offers very little to the good of humanity. It's probably on a par with most games. Secondly the ZZT community probably does more t...

Can you stick in an advert for Germaloids Soothing Spray(r)? You could have a subplot where you need to earn money, so you do some menial task for an hour or so (such as stacking shelves). Also I was loving the cow bell saga: Moose: MORE COWBELL CA: I'm not going to put a cow bell in my game. Ando: ...

Two things
First thing:
I tried to download Vio's game but I got the message "The requested URL /zgames/9/9elation.zip was not found on this server."
Second thing:
I tried to play Fred2, but it crashes on loading (posibly the file is too large?) Is there a program I can run it with?

You can use a hex editor (such as XVI32). I wouldn't recommend messing around with exe's then running them unless you're sure what you're changing though. If you want to see the assember code you could try using ollydbg, but I'm not sure if ZZT is a suitable app for it (in fact I'm fairly sure it is...

It sounds cool but...y'all lost me at 'fractal'. I'm not sure of the exact definition, but I thought a fractal was a shape which contains smaller copies of the whole shape within it. With the mazes above the maze contains 'smaller' copies of the whole maze. Instead of drawing the whole maze again t...

I moved everything around, and battled with the number of transporters and objects I was allowed, but eventually made the following: http://tinypic.com/ejybe9.gif There's a playable version here with or without objects hidden away. I'd be interested to see a harder fractal maze implemented (or a nea...

Another ZZT Challenge - Fractal Mazes
It's been a while since Wayne Kerr's challenges, but I think I've come up with another difficult one (inspired by the Blue Maze - also by Kerr). The task is to make a fractal maze (google it and you should come across this one ). I'm pretty certain that due to the infinite nature of the maze you can...

My opinion: There wasn't enough warning before the competition, consequently there wasn't enough hype (in fact there wasn't any hype). Also this meant I'd already got plans for the weekend in question (I assume I wasn't the only one). The topics Nazis and Exception were retarded and uninspiring resp...
