I'm putting together a documentary about the ZZT/MZX community over the past 20 years. Were you there for the Prodigy days? AOL message boards? Released a game in the past six months? Have a video/web cam? I want to talk to you! Please PM me and I'll give you an e-mail address where we can communicate further. Hoping to make a great all-inclusive documentary that everybody can enjoy.

Thanks!

Sounds interesting. Do you mind telling us more about the project and why you're doing it (Why ZZT? Did you used to be in the community?)

I was in the community back in the day, made many crappy games. Tim City and Mario Bros. 2.0 are probably the most well-known. My interactions in the community and where it eventually led me (running my own media company) have a very special place in my heart and I kind of want to document the whole 'scene' before all evidence of it disappears from the web. Luckily was able to save a lot of research material before they pulled Geocities down.

Chris Jong had a website for modifying cars at www.beyondzreality.com but it doesn't seem to be around anymore. :(

Chances are you've found these already, but the two Interactive Fantasies websites are still online.

I'm not sure if Hydra and/or Hercules can be reached on those old e-mail adresses, but getting either one of them to talk about ZZT, the community in particular, would be pretty neat. They were very involved in the scene. From what I know, they've pretty much moved on, but it may be worth a shot.

For the MZX side, go and visit http://www.digitalmzx.net/forums/ and PM Luke Drelick and Exophase. Although they don't do much on the boards nowadays, they will respond to a message.
