I was just reading about this conversation simulator called Daisy, rather than spitting out canned responses to familiar keywords it makes its own responses based on what you type to it. So after talking to it for a while it starts to take on semblance of your speech patterns, with the occasional grammatical oddity.

You can also load in two different memory files and run them against each other, to see if they can make coherent sentences.

there is a chatter-bot in #idiots-club, it's called Obliriovrons. heh heh heh, it doesn't always work too well, because crankgod, the creator, is just a big old idiot!

There's been some progress in AI, but not as much as everyone was expecting back in the 60s.

Download Daisy

Here's a short snippet of my first talk with Daisy. I'm keeping the memory file separate from the default pre-made one because I get to start from scratch, so anything the program says is a mash-up of my sentences.
