using gimp gives you linux points.

I think Jasc Animation shop is just nagware.

But then I pirated it anyway.

i like gimp because it's really easy to use, and it's free

not like that pooey PHOTOSHOP, which i have to pay for if i want to upgrade it and is really hard to understand how to do the simplest thing without referring to help files all the goddamn time

the one downside to using it is that if you're having problems with it, and you're using windows, you're at the mercy of linux fags telling you that you are bill gayte$' miKKKr0$haft vinbl0w$ manwhore

schoedinger's cat are you trying to tell me you use linux

do you need to optimise your kernel, to make your frontend more efficient

I'd like to optimize your kernal. :slap:

Seriously though, I have a dual boot computer with XP and Ubuntu on it, and my internet connected computer has 2000.

nobody's optimising anybody's kernel

actually i'd like to try out ubuntu at some point, apparently it's different to most other forms of linux in that you don't need a degree in computer science to use it...

WINDOZE
----------------
PROS:

- runs most software
- works with most computer hardware, and drivers available for everything else
- prolly comes with your computer
- if you decide to make something of yourself and go to uni, you'll be showered in assignments requiring you to program with VS.NET and ASP and MSSQL and all sorts of similar watered-down crap. while you can do this stuff under lunix it's a total pain

CONS:

- looks like shit
- uses lots of memory and processor
- bugs and worms and viruses and whatnot
- this guy uses it:
Also, I'm sure that 70% of you that tried running BANG! used it through some Windows program interpreter on Linux. BANG! thus doesn't work for you simply because you hate an OPERATING SYSTEM. You'd rather give up the myriad of programs available for Windows simply because you want to be a cyber-hipster who uses something different just for the sake of being different from everyone else and upholding the belief that that makes you better than everyone else.
LUNIX
--------------
PROS:

- looks spicy hot
- you can put animated H CG into your init stuff~~
- runs spicy quick and doesn't eat all your memory
- mostly works pretty well
- if you decide to make something of yourself and go to uni, you'll be showered in assignments requiring you to program with berkeley sockets in C and stuff like that, and it's bothersome getting that stuff working under windows

CONS:

- still plenty of software it doesn't run
- including plenty of h-games / eroge / dating sims from japan which are awesome and i can't use linux full time because i can't spend too long before seeing chika shinomiya's face again i miss her too much she is so kawaii ;_;;
- and bioshock and mostly super-new directx 9 and 10 things like that
but maybe that will change (for bioshock anyway, i doubt i'm going to be able to run my games in it)
- also you have to download it but it can be pretty small and who cares you'd only spend the bandwidth on Muv-Luv Alternative you animu fags
- this guy uses it:
In fact, if it wasn't for the fact that 99.9% of consumer games aren't released for Linux, I wouldn't touch the entire OS with a twelve metre pole.

Corporations suck.

CONCLUSION:
use both you fagot

for a while he had modship here because we thought it would be funny

i imagine he's a lot worse now
