Turn a boulder into a pre programmed object?

Hi there, I was wondering if it would be possible to turn a boulder into an object that could bind a program.
Like say I have a brown bould, and its supposed to be a box.
But then I decide to have a program change it into a peice of cheese for some reason. Is this possible?

no, if you use "#change boulder object" you just get a dead object with no code in it.
Programming an object to act like a boulder doesn't quite work either, you'll have to figure something out if you really need to push them around.
If you don't need to push them around just make the box and object and change it into a cheese. You can have an object next to the box #put a yellow object over it to change the colour but not affect the code.

Dang... it was worth a shot. I wanted to have programed objects that sprung from boulders. I guess I'll have to stick to the preprogrammed enemies such as lions and tigers.
So I can't even go
#Change boulder object#bind emo
?

nope
any #put or #change or #become of an object makes it an empty object like you'd make in the editor

I'd figure something else out instead of resorting to lions and tigers...

I actually like the premade enemies. Used only sparingly, though.

you know, i'm not fond of this philosophy that pre-fabs are always bad
"overflow" used pre-fab enemies all the time, and that game was awesome

i wasn't trying to say prefabs are terrible. I play/support a lot of old games with prefabs. I was suggesting maybe avoiding them for practice sake.

MegaZeux has Pushable Robots, which can be used for this purpose.
NO WAY TO BIND PREFAB TO PROFAB?

Dang. It'd be nice if you could easily bind "prefab" objects to programmed ones. It'd let me avoid my PortalZZT box dilemma easily. I guess I'll have to use an inventory engine or something.

THREAD NECROMANCY
WHY DOES NOBODY USE THE SUBJECT LINE?

No, the last post was only from July. That's less than 2 years ago. And it's relevant to my question, it would be silly to start a new thread...
...Right?
