Todd Goliath has been drawing stupid illustrations since he was a kid. Now, as an adult, he still draws stupid illustrations.

On the David and Goliath website, the company describes its creator Todd Goldman as, "A guy who happens to see life a little differently from everyone else."

David and Goliath is a company that started three years ago by a man with a wacky sense of humor, Todd Goldman.

At first Goldman produced only T-shirts with his crazy drawings accompanied by fun little sayings.

Goldman, who studied tax accounting at the University of Florida, has seen his little company spread across America and now continues to open shops internationally. D&G stores can be found not only in America but also in countries such as Ireland, England and Japan.

"I started by producing T-shirts, now it's blown up out of control," Goldman said. "We've been approached by every production company around, from Disney to Comedy Central. There's a lot of exciting crazy stuff happening."

In search of a catchy name for the company, Goldman looked to his dad for inspiration.

"My dad's name is David and his dog's name is Goliath. I didn't want a cutesy and feminine name. I was looking for a more masculine name," Goldman said.

Characters created by Goldman include a boy modeled after himself named, not surprisingly, Todd.

Todd, the cartoon character, looks like a dork and is often accompanied by sayings such as, "Boys are stupid, throw rocks at them," or, "Boys are smelly."

"My favorite character is Todd because he's named after me, and boys are smelly," Goldman said.

Other characters created by Goldman include Goodbye Kitty, Eve. L, Trendy Wendy and Jack the Nerd.

"Goodbye Kitty is a spoof off of Hello Kitty and we always have new characters lined up. We're coming out soon with a fat guy named Meatball," Goldman said.

Goldman attributes his inspiration to his wittiness and weird sense of humor.

"I'm just wacked out of my mind. Things just come to me really quickly. I have complete ADD so I've never finished a book before. I haven't really watched cartoons or read comic books. It's just my witty sense of humor and my love to draw," Goldman said.

Goldman's love for drawing cartoons and a desire to make people smile are his true inspirations.

"The whole point of it is that it puts a smile on your face, my job is to make you laugh especially with what's going on in the world today. There's so much drama, I've decided to make fun of it and not take life so seriously," Goldman said.

Goldman jokes about other motives for doing what he does.

"I love my job, I couldn't imagine doing anything else, and I meet so many girls. I just did this to meet girls."
