Ned the Knight, rar!

Thoughts:
1. Shit, I haven't done ZZT in something close to 10 years. Wow. I still have fond memories, though. Hell, I could still tell you all the alternate paths through Code Red, this many years later. Wired into my brain, it is!
2. I found the ZZT Encyclopedia 3C here, really the only thing I actually finished from that era. It's shocking to see how far ZZT has evolved since then.
3. Re-downloading ZZT and Megazeux for the first time in almost a decade, I have a better appreciation now of why ZZT is more fun - Sure, megazeux has fewer limits, but sometimes doing interesting things within set limits is what make art great.
4. When I got ZZT again, I had an immediate hankering for an old game I remembered; Ned the Knight. The game's as fun as I remember, but the graphics appear a bit dated - has anyone made an effort to spruce the game's paintjob up? If nobody else has, I might give it a shot. Also, the Elevator room in the Sewers: The searchlight doesn't seem to be sending the "sparkle" message to the ring and rock correctly, which is odd; I check the code and it seems correct, and I don't remember experiencing that bug when I played through originally. What's up with that?
Also, any other, more recent games in the vein of NTK that are worth checking out?
