I will be holding a BKZZT this Saturday at 10:00 am Pacific Standard Time (so like 5 pm or so for you GBers out there). The topic will be announced on #rawr at the said time and all participants will have one hour to make and complete their entries. I'll probably be the sole judge of the contest.

Hopefully after this BKZZT I will continue to hold more every so often, but we'll just see how it all plays out.

I'll see if I can be in. For those of us who have never been in one (i.e., myself) what exactly goes on in a BKZZT? I assume it's similar to any other ZZT contest (topic, time limit, etc...).

It's pretty much like an abbreviated WoZ compressed in one hour. Topic choice is the same, submission is the same (it will be at my e-mail address ande9108@uidaho.edu COUGH*don't sign me up for spam ever again YOU ASSHOLES*COUGH), etc. The only real difference is that it's only one hour and there is only one judge (although there could be more than one I guess).

So yeah.

10am Pacific is noon central, right? I shall participate in this blitzkrieg and SMITE ALL WHO DARE CHALLENGE ME except for the people who submit better entries

I'm in purely because you've told me what time it is in the UK! However I won't be on #rawr, so could you put topics here on teh forums too please?

Otherwise I'll make a random entry and hope it conforms to one of the topics.

Looks like I was wrong about the time for the GBers; it would be 6pm for them.

Anyways if no one shows up for the contest I can hold it tomorrow, easily. That's the best thing about BKZZTs I guess.

I can put in a 30 minute entry now, or if you wait for tomorrow, I might not make it. But whatever really! I'm feeling particularly uninspired at the moment.
