Hello. Cheesecake Avenger here.
I know this isn't a real poll, but I just want to know.
If you could add just one more character to the ASCII char set, what would it be? Just one character, the same size, only black and white, no shades of gray or anyof that crap. ya know? Something you would fine usefull for a game?

If you ask me, I would want a frown face. Ya know, for dead people or angry people. A dead smilty still smiling is a little weard. SO, what is it that would be good?

I would use a font editor

Seriously though, you know how there's the ▄, ▌, ▐, and ▀ blocks that help out with ascii art? I'd kill for four more characters that fill up one quarter of an ascii character instead of half. 120x50 resolution without restrictions on where you place the objects= yey. In fact, I should modify a font to take out some redundant characters to make this possible (Three different empty spaces? bah). It'll be the biggest ZZT revolution since STK! I'll make millions!!!

Okay, so like, make a font and add lots of diagonals and stuff like that.

don't forget intermediate blend chars that are like half normal half breakable

I'd love a char whose upper half was breakable and whose lower half was solid, like a blend of and .

I like that last one! That would really be usefull for fliping an emime off! :P

too bad the mzx community is horrible

The MZX community didn't always used to be the way that it is today. I used to be a lurker of DigitalMZX in 2000-2001 and back then it was somewhat less strictly controlled and there were more interesting people who posted there (like maxim); it was more enjoyable than it is today.

It still had most of the same annoying n00bs though :(
