Ecept the people in America aren't allowed to call it Thanksgiving anymore! On the PBS children's show Clifford The Big Red Dog, they referred to the holiday as "Fall Feast".

"Fall Feast," of all things!

I assume that they renamed it in an attempt to avoid offending the non-religious, and I can understand their viewpoint.

But seriously, is it now taboo in our culture to be glad that we have what we have?!?

apparently there's one county council here in england (somewhere in essex i think) that reckons christmas trees are too offensive

and you're not allowed to have christmas lights anymore, now they are "celebrity lights"

oh and santa and jesus are BOTH banned in public

overapplication of political correctness is hilarious and terrifying at the same time

Companies Ban 'Christmas,' Not Worried About Backlash

Dear Fred,

Visit the new AFA Superstore today! Several retailers have joined in the push to ban the use of "Christmas" in their in-store promotions and retail advertising. The new push to eliminate "Christmas" and replace it with "Happy Holidays," "Season's Greetings," etc. is gaining ground with several retailers participating.

Not wanting to offend a handful of complainers, these companies are willing to offend the vast majority who hold Christmas as a time to celebrate the birth of Christ. Their attitude is that those who identify themselves as Christians don't care if they eliminate "Christmas."

While it is too late to make changes this year, we have already sent letters to several major retailers we have identified as participating in banning "Christmas," asking them to put Christmas back into their in-store promotions and retail advertising next year. We have sent letters to the chairmen of Target, Home Depot, Wal-Mart, Kmart/Sears, Costco, Kohl's and Lowe's about their practice. (Lowe's even refuses to promote their trees as Christmas trees, but calls them "Holiday Trees." Their toll-free number is 1-800-445-6937.)

Please sign our petition letting these companies know that banning "Christmas" in their promotions and advertising next year will result in a loss of business. As we identify other companies participating in this practice, we will contact them.

We need your support to be effective. That is why we need your petition. Please help us get the word out by forwarding this to your friends and family. Many of them will want to participate. We will keep you informed on which companies make changes and which ones refuse.

Thanks for caring enough to get involved.

Sincerely,

Don

P.S. "There is an anti-Christian bias in this country, and it is more on display at Christmas season than any other time." – Bill O'Reilly, The O'Reilly Factor, Fox News Channel (Speaking about the decision of Target and other stores to ban the use of "Merry Christmas" in their stores and advertising.) Update on Walgreens, American Girl, and Other Projects

Dear Fred,

Visit the new AFA Superstore today! I wanted to give you an update on several issues we've addresses over the past few weeks. Please continue to stand with us in the culture battle for our families, especially our children.

Let me encourage you to review these issues and take action on the ones you have not yet taken action on. You can do so by clicking on the title of the issue. We will continue to monitor them and let you know when important changes occur.

Walgreens Gives $100,000 in Support of Gay Games
Update: Walgreens is replying to consumers stating their sponsorship allows them "to have a presence at the official site of the games and set up portable pharmacies, from which well distribute HIV information and have pharmacists available for counseling."

Many of you have told us you see right through their "canned response." You know Walgreens' is using HIV/AIDS education as a cover for their strong financial commitment to the gay games themselves.

Ironically, the company's Web site states Walgreens' charitable funds will not be used to support "sports teams or any sports-related activity or competition."

Walgreens seemed to be caught off-guard when confronted about the policy by a news reporter. After hesitating to answer, the spokesman said he'd refer the question elsewhere for clarification.

He later said the contribution does not violate Walgreens established policy since the funding is for HIV/AIDS outreach and education, not for any specific sporting event. This despite the fact that they gave the money specifically to the Gay Games, which is a sporting event!

Ultimately, Walgreens top "Premium Level" donation helps the Gay Games Committee pay for the organization and promotional efforts for sports-related activities and competitions. The committee also uses sponsor dollars to promote other activities such as "Party Events" and "Clubs/Bars Events" which are posted on the gay games website.

Washington Nationals Suspend Chaplain For Not Thinking 'Religiously Correct'
Update: We have delivered our petition to Commissioner Selig on your behalf. Thank you for being one of 117,220 people who signed the petition.

Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig has been very quiet on the issue, as has been the Washington Nationals team. One source says, "As of right now there have been no developments. There will be no talk of anything until after the World Series."

Target Continues Ban on Salvation Army, Adds Sex Toy Products
Update: Target continues to stand by its decision to ban Salvation Army bell ringers from their stores, making it the largest retailer in America to do so.

Target says they will not carry the vibrator toy as earlier suggested in a news article, but confirms it will sell the lotions, intimacy (stimulating) gels, and other products associated with it.

American Girl teams with pro-abortion, pro-lesbian group
Update: Within hours of our email alert, American Girl changed their website and removed the link to Girls Inc. from their site. They then moved all references to Girls Inc. from the homepage to a secondary webpage.

News reports state American Girl has no plans to drop their close association with Girls Inc. and will continue giving the group financial donations.

In addition, American Girl changed the text of the "I Can" bracelet program, stating the donations are "earmarked" for non-lesbian, non-abortion promotional activities. This financial support designation simply frees up others monies at Girls Inc. for political and social advocacy activities.

Finally!!! A Major, Mainstream Media Person Tells The Truth About The ACLU. Tell Him Thanks!
Update: On his program on October 12, Bill O'Reilly exposed the ACLU for what it is. His is the strongest, most accurate definition of the ACLU that I have ever seen or read by a member of the mainstream media.

Your letter of thanks was mailed to Fox News' Bill O'Reilly on Friday, October 21. More than 123,000 people signed the letter to Bill O'Reilly.

Mr. O'Reilly acknowledged your letter on his Oct. 27 program, saying, "But we do have millions of allies on this program. And sometimes I'm guilty of not mentioning them enough. The American Family Association, for example, sent me a C.D. containing more than 100,000 names of folks who appreciate our reporting on the ACLU. And we appreciate this show of support. It's really amazing.

"The only way to defeat progressive secularism is for Americans who oppose it to stand up and be counted. Ridiculous? Only if you think democracy is ridiculous. Thanks again to the AFA."

Again, please take action on the items above, if you haven't already done so.

Your financial support will help us continue these and other projects. Please consider making your donation today. Click Here to help keep our efforts going!

Thanks for caring enough to get involved. And please forward this to your family and friends. Together, and with God's help, we are making a difference.

Sincerely,

Don
