Under-appreciated ZZTers Memoriam
Here is a thread where people can talk about ZZTers of times past who were really talented individuals but sadly never really became well known or renouned in the community.
To start, I'll bring up Meantee. He was a very good artist who's talent showed quite well in his only released ZZT game "Wakk", and he even became a member of IF. But for some reason, he isn't that well known or perhaps even disliked in the community. I asked Viovis about that once and he said that often Meantee would get banned for whatever reason. I've chatted with Meantee a few times and have looked at his old posts, and he was a pretty decent, funny individual. He's been gone from the internet for about three months now, though, so I'm kind of worried about him.
So yeah, there's my bit. Debate about Meantee or bring up new people if you want.

This is a good thread.
Yes, Meantee's a good egg. Quite a character, though, he seems to be different every time he turns up. As I recall he's had a bit of upheaval with his parents or his place of residence in the past year or so, so it's to be expected that he's not around all that much.
For my own contribution, I'll turn to a more recent fellow: Homz, a friend of My Liver Hurtz. He's still alive on the internet but has lost interest in ZZT, and I was working with him on music for a bit. He was quite the artist, even more impressive since he was a beginner.
Also, I'm going to say Appliance. I didn't like Card Prime or its sequel but Pandemonium: Alpha was very good and he stuck around consistently for quite some time, but never shook off 'newbie' status.

Only remembered in the DMZX community, seemingly lol
Which is actually a good thing, means most of my stuff stayed underground.
In terms of ZZT awareness, i was active during the original zzt.org but at the same time stayed low key with my projects and methods, till Chronos blown some of it outta the water lol but at least gave ZZT'ers new techniques and ways to making their games more exciting.
Back again to the MZX community, i was occationally zipping in mworld but yet again, staying very low key.

I remember that mario mzx. The graphics were sprite ports and despite only being allowed 2 colors per char they looked really nice.

One of the few games of mine that people have actually seen and played. It's possible i may complete it, but most may frown apon me starting all that up again.Dr. sod wrote:I remember that mario mzx. Chronos and I were communicating back in the mid/late 90's over this "major ZZT project" i was working on "Destiny: Diablo"
Last time i ever spoke with him was sometime in 2002, of which i still have his last email to me, reguarding that project, since he was beta testing it for me at the time.

It looks darn good so far. I got a "Bad command CHECKIT" on the first play screen.
I'll tell you a rating and more bugs or whatever when I get around to playing more. I'm kinda busy moving into college again and stuff.

EDIT: hope i don't get in shite for given away his email address lol
