I was wondering if someone could list the genres (like trippy or adventure) that are listed in the z2 archive. Like an admin could do it or something. It could be interesting.

Also sorry if this topic sucks. If it does then I should be.

When you submit something to the archive, you can declare its genre to be anything you want, but here's the little big list:

Note that an entry may have more than one genre; for example, it is not uncommon to see games that say "Action/Adventure." Also note that this list has been edited down; extremely uncommon genres and different words for the same genre have been removed. I really wish there was a bit more consistency, but that's largely the responsibility of the game makers <i>(nudge nudge)</i>. Hope this helps!

"TESTANESQUE TRADITIONAL DUNGEON CRAWL WITH DRACONIC MOTIFS"

Incidentally, I recall a little while ago I changed Z2 policy to reflect that demos could be subject to removal as soon as the complete game was uploaded. I really don't like the idea of ZZT Demos in principle.

Yeah and I also don't like demos for ZZT games. It's perfectly fine to do in MZX though.

I vote all games with the genre "sidescroller", be changed to "platformer" cause almost nothing scrolls in ZZT.

Also a new trend in genres is "awesome"
