the original watchmen comic run is selling for retardedly high prices on ebay right now, and i could probably sell my first edition paperback for some cash, but i do not want to.

Future Diary's about a reclusive loser who does nothing but obsessively write in a diary he keeps on his cell phone. One day the GOD OF TIME AND SPACE decides to shit around and gives him a cell phone that contains his diary entries for up to 90 days in the future, making him psychic. The kid (Yuki) soon finds out that the GOD OF TIME AND SPACE has given 11 other people similar future diaries and told them to kill each other, with the last person standing inheriting the god's powers. Yuki's a wimp, so he has to team up with his batshit stalker (also a future diary holder) to stand a chance.
It's the manga I've been reading lately, and the first seven volumes are out presently. If you like Deathnote you'll probably like this too as the future diaries often lead to some fairly clever head games between the various diary holders.
