ZZT in XHTML/JavaScript
WTF is Nano doing here?
Uh yeah, I just thought I'd stop by and let you know that I'm remaking ZZT in XHTML/JavaScript. I just started on it yesterday, so I'm not sure how far I'll go with it, but so far it looks like I could manage the whole thing if I kept at it.
Here it is.
It requires a Gecko browser like Firefox. I haven't tested it in other browsers, but I'm willing to bet it doesn't work in them.
EDIT: BTW, that "S" thing is a star. I haven't bothered adding the rotating thingies yet. Also, to the right and a couple spaces down is a small group of black holes, and you can press Insert to make a player clone appear.
EDIT 2: Updated the link

It's slow, but other than that it could be a nice way to kill time at school. Assuming you can add multiple world support.

I really don't know why it's running slow for some of you. I've tested it on three machines now (one Linux and new, one Windows and new, and one Windows and several years old), and the speed is about the same on each: nearly twice as fast as ZZT's default speed. What browser are you using and how many decades old is your computer? :/

Steve Austin, astronaut. A man barely alive. Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to build the world's first bionic man. Steve Austin will be that man. Better than he was before. Better, stronger, faster.
