I was wondering if anyone here knows how to convert paint files into JPEG images. If you do know how to do it, could you please tell me?

i'm assuming you mean bitmaps
try using google and searching for an image converter, or <strike>il</strike>legally obtain something like photoshop or psp, although that's kind of a waste for something so trivial
or you could just download paint somewhere, because all of the latest versions can save things as jpegs anyways

i downloaded this thing called ULTIMATE PAINT which is nice. It even has a batch option to turn a whole folder of bmps into jpgs.

I use PaintShop Pro 3.11, believe it or not. It's smaller than PSP 7 and aside from issues with GIF transparency in the past it's never steered me wrong.

Yeah, but PSP failed to convert my BMP image to JPG (yet it said that it did) and I can only access it in safe mode, or else it shuts down after a few seconds. I guess that my laptop doesn't like old programs.

Mr. Jones, put a wiggle in your stride...

Here's a free online utility for converting images. If you're doing a lot of this kind of stuff, you might want to search the web for a shareware or freeware image conversion utility, or <s>save up and buy</s> illegally download a good graphics program. I can't really suggest many Windows tools, as I do most of my graphical work on a Mac. I like Photoshop, especially for its "Save for Web" feature, but I certainly wouldn't <s>buy</s> download it just for access to that. And Paint Shop Pro is pretty nice, if you can find a version that'll run on your computer.

Heh, I've still got a shareware version of PSP that says, "You are on day (insert really large number here) of your 30 day trial period."

As you can see, ejamba worked great! It's kind of big though, don't you think?

Irfanview was cool until it sold out.
