Mu KevEdit's being a jerksp. <:(

Twice now, while saving Pilgrim's Progress, KevEdit (DOS version, btw) kills itself and corrupts the majority of my boards! -_- Fortunately, I keep regular backups, so there's no permanent damage. Is there some way to stop this? I use the default editor, ZZTAE, and KevEdit, which ever I'm in the mood for, whatever's convienient, or what ever works. Could that have something to do with it? Also, I've asked this before, but could someone tell me where to obtain ZZTAE documentation? Thanks. Oh, and what's ZZTWeb?

I agree with everything Moose said.

BUT ON A SERIOUS NOTE (because a thread can't derail until it completes it goal unless it's stupid):

If every editor DESTROYS YOUR GAME then it's not the editor it's the boards themselves, check with ZZTAE (and i believe Kev-Edit) for the board size, once you hit 18k things can screw up beyond 20 and they almost always will.

I FEEL LIKE I'M SOMEONE WHO CARES ABOUT ZZT HERE.

I admit to being tremendously proud of that article. I even intend to update it with a couple of new tricks I discovered recently!

I'm very surprised to hear that KevEdit DOS is causing these problems, rather than the classic editor and ZZTAE. Both, particularly the former, have given me real headaches with crash and corruption problems. In all the time I've used KevEdit I've known it to crash twice, and each time the world was safely uncorrupted in its last save position.

I'm a furry, eh?! *points Blaster* Ehem. Anyway, only DOS KevEdit has screwed it up. I thought it might be board size myself, but my largest is only 14kb, so I'm sure it's not that. Also, I was just kidding around with Clecky. Relax! ^_^ Anyway, any advice would be appreciated. Also, not to sound repetitive, but where can I get ZZTAE documentation, and what is ZZTWeb?
