iq really doesn't have much to do with intelligence, just how quick one is on the proverbial uptake.
however, because that does correlate roughly with intelligence (the faster you learn, the more you know) it's used as a yardstick for that
i could go into this EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE shit that i read about in a book one time that determines how socially dysfunctional you are, but i won't because the whole thing is lame
